Like many, due to the forced changes of the pandemic, I have been reevaluating what I want from my life. How do I want to spend my time? Where do I want to focus my energies? How do I make this happen? While asking myself these questions, something that I keep coming back to is how much I am underutilizing this platform; a platform that I pay an annual fee to. As much as I detest capitalism, I am seeing this site as “wasted money”.
Well, fuck. This was a gut-punch of a week that resulted in my breaking point. I’m sure others have been where I am in terms of isolation/shelter in place getting to them, but woof, this was a week. With that said, shall we see how that affected my dressing — and documentation — habits? I think we shall.
This was a tough week for me. This isolation continues, work tasks drag on, my mental health is a roller coaster. It’s a lot. The seasons also refuse to either be warm or cold, so my dressing habits have been equally indecisive in nature. With that, let’s check out how I adorned my skin sack this past week …
Anyone else losing all sense and meaning of time? ‘Cause I sure am! That being said, my wardrobe and how I dress/adorn myself is bringing a lot of joy to my life these days, so I’m thankful for that. On that note, let’s get to some lewks.
You’d think that by having to stay home due to government ordered isolation, each week would feel the same. Well, you’d be right, for the most part. But I will say I’m still surprised with how each week goes, including my clothing choices. Shall we dive in?
I have now been working from home for a month. One month. Four weeks. That means that I have been doing this project for just as long. I am lacking the words to properly express how this feels to me, so let’s just jump into some photos and observations. Shall we?
I hope y’all are staying safe and healthy as this pandemic trudges on. It’s a holiday Friday in Canada, so you’re getting your weekly dose of judging my dressing habits a day early. Let’s not delay this any longer. Here we go!
Another week gone by. Ready to see what this home-dwelling goblin looked like this past week? Well here you go!
Enter Week Two:
This is the first week of doing this project in my current home. I’m still figuring things out, but we can only go up from here, right?
In this episode of Let’s Talk Clothes I sit down with knitter supreme, bicycling enthusiast, and most extroverted introvert (and my sister) Jessica Trach! This episode Jessica and I discuss clothing as self-expression, dressing for different cities and climates, and making your own clothing.
