This is the first week of doing this project in my current home. I’m still figuring things out, but we can only go up from here, right?
In this episode of Let’s Talk Clothes I sit down with knitter supreme, bicycling enthusiast, and most extroverted introvert (and my sister) Jessica Trach! This episode Jessica and I discuss clothing as self-expression, dressing for different cities and climates, and making your own clothing.
On this episode of Let’s Talk Clothes I sit down with friend to all dogs, Tyra super-fan, and fashion lover Abby Shumka. This episode Abby and I discuss her on-going love of clothing and fashion, personal fashion rules, and the intersection of parenthood and fashion.
On this episode of Let’s Talk Clothes I sit down with fashion nomad and makeup artist Myles Sexton. This episode Myles and I discuss activism through clothing, second hand shopping, and shopping local/Canadian.
In the latest episode of Let’s Talk Clothes I sit down with visual artist, colour enthusiast, and cat owner Caitlin McGuire. Caitlin and I discuss buying clothes second hand, the importance of comfort in clothing, and clothing as self-expression.
After a months-long hiatus, we’re back with another episode of Let’s Talk Clothes! This episode I sit down with Johnny Cann to discuss clothing and self-expression, personal fashion influences and inspirations, and fashion reality TV. Originally hailing from Nova Scotia, is one half of the That’s Spooky podcast (which he co-hosts with his partner, and former Let’s Talk Clothes guest Tyler Hyde), and says that if he were a drag queen his drag name would be either Leslie Fist or Cake Bush.
On A Very Special Episode of Let’s Talk Clothes it’s just me in the studio talking about holiday outfits — past, present, and future. In this episode we cover: memories from childhood as well as more current outfits, both listener sent-in as well as my own. Pour yourself a cup of something warm, snuggle up, and let’s dive in!
On the latest episode of Let’s Talk Clothes I sit down with photographer, future dog owner, and coffee enthusiast Arman Bahreini. In this episode Arman and I discuss personal style evolution, dressing for comfort and practicality, and emotional attachment to clothing.
Thought I forgot about you? I wouldn’t dream of it. I took a bit of a break, and now I’m back and asking for your help. The holidays are quickly approaching, which means parties and dinners and social gatherings, which, for me, mean one thing: outfits. This got me thinking, “That would make a great listener write-in episode”, and here we are!
If you haven’t guessed yet, I’m asking you to send me your holiday outfit stories. They can be past, present, future; funny, victorious, heartfelt, childhood memories — all of it! Send me all of your stories (and maybe some photos too) and I’ll put it all together in A Very Special Episode that will air around the holidays.
You can send me messages directly through the site (go to the Contact page), or email messages or audio files to firstname.lastname@example.org, or DM me on instagram @talkclothespodcast. I cannot wait to hear from you, and to read your stories!
Here are some of my past holiday card photos to get the ball rolling:
Thanks for stopping by — now go send me some stories!
This week on Let’s Talk Clothes I sit down with artist, dog enthusiast, and concert goer Johanna Thompson. In this episode Johanna and I discuss changing your clothing consumption habits, small town upbringings, and clothing as armour.
