This is a very belated post. These photos are from a couple of weeks ago, but I haven’t posted them yet. A summary of the reasons why are:
- this project naturally came to a conclusion
- my personal life has changed (for the good) and I’m choosing to put my energies elsewhere
- the world is burning, and, again, I feel like my energies could be put to better use elsewhere
I’ll delve into those things in a minute, but first, let’s take a look at the final leg of this project.
Ten weeks I’ve been at this. Note: my weeks of doing this project don’t line up with how long isolation/quarantine has been happening. I noticed that when talking to someone, and felt I should acknowledge that.We had another week of good weather, which meant I wore some more of my favourite outfits. I really love them, so let’s go look!
Sartorially this was a good week. At least from what I remember. Between the good weather, and being able to wear some of my favourite pieces (because of the good weather) I’m painting this past week with a broad brush of “good”. Let’s review these “good” outfits!
Well, fuck. This was a gut-punch of a week that resulted in my breaking point. I’m sure others have been where I am in terms of isolation/shelter in place getting to them, but woof, this was a week. With that said, shall we see how that affected my dressing — and documentation — habits? I think we shall.

This was a tough week for me. This isolation continues, work tasks drag on, my mental health is a roller coaster. It’s a lot. The seasons also refuse to either be warm or cold, so my dressing habits have been equally indecisive in nature. With that, let’s check out how I adorned my skin sack this past week …

Anyone else losing all sense and meaning of time? ‘Cause I sure am! That being said, my wardrobe and how I dress/adorn myself is bringing a lot of joy to my life these days, so I’m thankful for that. On that note, let’s get to some lewks.

Oh hello, it’s been a minute, hasn’t it? Fear not, I’m still here, just not as much as I’d like to be. Like most folks these days, I am now working from home, finding myself in search of creative outlets, and ways to add a bit more routine to my day. Since I cannot conduct interviews the way that I prefer to (in person, photographing the interviewee’s wardrobe) I had to think beyond my usual structure. After some time and contemplation I have decided to revisit a project I explored from 2014-2015, titled The Dressed Body (unknowingly after a Joanne Entwistle essay of the same name — oops), when I was just a young fashion scholar working out some ideas.

This is the first week of doing this project in my current home. I’m still figuring things out, but we can only go up from here, right?
